Presuming he uses sticks - I have a theory that drag brake is more useful to a pistol transmitter user than a sticks user. I prefer the pistol, as the wheel gives me better steering control and better comfort, but braking (pushing with the trigger finger) is harder and slower, as it's a deeply unintuitive thing to do, so having the drag brake kick in before applying full brakes helps.

hmmmmm
I use some DB on the sx3, as helps me in corners, but on the cougar, i use none as thats the way i like it, also none on the SC, each to there own i guess....
Different driving styles suit different set ups.

Personally i don't like it but my 2wd has a INIX system in it and on that you can't turn it off!

Thats a style all of its own. You will work out what you like, try different settings till you find one that you like, then thats your style LOL...
