Default master smacker

hi guys i bought bmy son a lunchbox for xmas and its got me wanting to get back into rc cars again, cut a long story short a mate from work has given me a ansmann master smacker with very little use by the looks of things... is there any mods that i should know about i dont know nothing about them to be honest and thought this was a good place to start...and also are there any alternative body shels that will fit... please be patent with me ive not had a rc car for twenty years or so and that was a grasshopper

From what I found with the master smacker parts are VERY hard to get hold of, I had mine for one day an broke the front wishbone an couldn't find anywhere to replace it as its been discontinued now
