My take on the B42
I had posted a few questions on the other B42 thread but as that is mainly about the Cobra conversion I though I had better start my own thread showing my build.
It follows the usual format of 75% B44.1 (in my case) and 25% B4 but with a couple of twists. I like Losi shocks so have fitted V1 metal shocks and will try running the rear shocks behind the shock tower initially. I hate the fiddly screw battery straps so have use the B44.2 plastic quick release battery straps. The front end is an XFactory X6 cubed moulding to provide the kickup and mounting for the B4 front end. I also used XFactory carbon stack to link the two pieces together. The wiring is temporary as it is from my SC truck with no rewiring so it is not going to stay that way. Also I am expecting to need to change some stuff. I have a concern about chassis flex between the nose and motor mount. Possible fix would be running strengtheners along the chassis sides similar to the TeamC TM2. Another possiblity would be to refit the top brace and make a mounting point to the top of the B4 top plate. |
