Just found this post.

I am greatly saddened to hear this news.
I was sposored by PETE'S AWESOME PRODUCTS in the early 1990's (and still have the T shirt).

A true legend in RC.
My heart goes out to his family.

Paul

Ahhh crap. That really really sucks. I spent precious years of my youth working in Aero Nautical Models in the 80's. Seemed that Pete was there almost every day giving us all shit, having a right laugh. He was a total dude, and would hold court in that shop.

I have often though of him and wanted to get in contact for the 3 years I have been back in the hobby. I should have tried harder, would have treasured talking about the 80's again.

Hey Pete, stay awesome where ever you are now pal. Thank you so much for the really stellar memories.

My condolences to his family.

Ant

Didn't know Pete personally, but knew of him.

Like has been said,he was in from the start of it all with all the other
big name Brit racers of the time.

Have a safe journey Pete.

Just did read this and I´m really shocked.
I´m not from the UK but did meet him several times in the past.
I never will forget when we meet first time at the Offroad Euros at Bologna/Italy 1986 and he told me the special tips and tricks for the Kyosho Optima. Very nice and helpful guy.
I will never forget you.
