yes nearly everyone with a mk1 and mk2 speedy is having problems.

when you switch it on, how many beeps can you hear?

1 beep - mk1
2 beeps - mk2
3 beeps - mk3

you will want the latest mk3 firmware, if not, you can send it back to AE if purchased in the US, or back to LRP in germany.

my mk2 has gone back, and I wont see it for a long time I gather as its got to go from Australia to US, and then to Germany.

I had a v2 which was cogging then eventually stopped. I sent it back to SMD who sent me a brand new V3 one straight out. I'm still getting some cogging when nailing it after a slow corner so it's not perfect.

James,

What brand handset are you using?

I heard reports about it affects more ppl running Ko Propo handsets

hmm thats interesting!

I actually have had the opposite effects with some testing.

I have a KO ex-10 helios, with both ko module and spektrum module.

I had more cogging with the spektrum module. Still had cogging with the ko module, but a little less. Well thats my single observations anyways.

I'm a little dissapointed to hear mk3 still has issues as I just ordered one

I've got a Spektrum DX3R. I've tried changing the frame rate to a different speed but I've not ran the car yet so I don't know if its any different.

This is my 1st venture with LRP and I'm not overly pleased with it, I wish I'd bought the Tekin.

you will need to send it to AE if you bought it from the US. Then im not sure what they will do, either give you a mk3 version or get your old one updated in Germany.

theres been loads off problems with the sxx stock spec at a few places i race aswell....its a real pain in the ass having to send them back to get them updated...why dont they just go the gm/tekin route and let the user update them via a pc interface?!

mind you i havnt had much luck with tekin lately....my brand new rs pro only lasted 30 seconds on the track before a pcb on the fet board decided to go tits up...resulting in a software cock up and back to tekin, usa its had to go...so i bet that will be a few weeks wait for my replacement!

lol ive never had a problem with lrp at all!! i have the powersupply comp 3 charger and all untill i got this sxx stock spec.at least im not the only one with the same problem.i called them today and explained what was going on and they are very aware of the issue! they told me that i will get a brand new stock spec mk3 free of charge with a turnaround time of 1 week max.so on thursday i will be sending mine in.

i am not a fan of the tekin speedo due to the fact of self programing.
i would much rather hit the mode, set button than to self program.that leaves for massive human error and alot of frustration but thats just my opinion.
