Default Small cutout / notch in shock adjustment collars

why don't more companies do this so it's easy to see the ride height is the same without having to measure the gap or mark your own collars?

It's not like Tamiya have only just started doing this as they did it years ago.

Just wondered why more haven't done this too.

I guess it depends how well they control the thread on the shock body, as if you marked the adjuster it might not always end up in the right place when its done up to the top of the threaded section?

At least its easily remedied..

Exotek and RDRP both already do this for their shock collars, available to suit the likes of Associated, Durango, Kyosho and more......

that's good then. I just wondered why the other big manufactures didn't go it already instead of leaving it to 3rd party option part suppliers to step in

Better to mark your own with the shocks fully assembled and the collars adjusted up to a set distance from the lower spring seat position (there is quite a tolerance stack up on some manufactures top cap assemblies too!).

Only takes a moment and the marks end up somewhere useful.

Personally I don't mark mine, I set ride height with a gauge every time.
