Hey OLI,

groetjes,

Ken

I want to order the front and rear mount (your superb design OF COURSE )
And also the steering link from MK2
Yes they are still working. They are a small crew hence why it takes a bit of time. I got a reply three days later to my email so you should soon get a reply. Thanks, and I hope you like. FYI I am redesigning the half circular handle type front mount as I have just bought one and think it could be designed a little bit better, mainly for more strength. I will do this via Auto cad tonight and email over to Stephen.

Also I know it can be a bit annoying, however these guys are very professional and also have to deal with real racing teams occassionally so do have to put things to one side occassionaly due to this as their timelines are short as you know. When you do actually get the item your after you will realise that it was worth the wait.

vintage-kyosho and tamkyo-reprodecals (both on ebay)

P.S. if someone wants to email me a scan of the ZXS decal sheet I will have a look at it and see if we can make it (should not be a problem).
Whats your email address so i can send a picture of the stickers this evening? I am unable to scan it.

Mate, no idea on the cost yet but doubt its more than £10, but I doubt when I will see this as Mr Kyosho had the building shut down until after the issues in Japan. All the guys are fine but there will now be a delay in getting stuff, but too be honest I dont care about the parts, I do however care about whats happening over there.

I thought about cutting down a B4 pad which may be the answer, however I now have a TM12 so can use as a template. I do think that the best slipper out there for the currents brushless motors is the ZX one with the balls. This seems to resolve a lot of issues and there will be no burnout and continuous slip if needed. You also have the option of a 50/50 with the reverse one way on the layshaft (behind the spur) or a 60/40 with the original standard ZX kit item. Im going to enjoy testing when the spur gear turns up.

Also I should be getting the third attempt on my Lipo saddle pack holder and this should finally be the correct layout and will post pics when installed. Ive designed it so that the six brass weights fit flush against the chassis and the tray fits over giving a fixed brass weight in the lower section of the chassis and Tony E is looking into doing a brass plate for either side to bring the wieght up a bit more for it to be just right for me. Im still using my NIMH batt set up.

Cant wait to give the old buggy a blast.

I shall take the inne slipper down so an b4/b44 yokomo pad can be fitted i think that will really be better standard slipper with bigger pad, should do the trick.

I will give it a try as well. Yes it probably will be better but still think the ZX slipper system is the way to go.

Default I'm new and got a few questions.

Hi,

I'm new to the forum but have just rebuilt my ZX-R that I've had for about 15 years. I bought it secondhand and then messed about with it for a little bit and then let it get dusty. But now I've decided to ressurect the buggy and give it some attention.

I've rebuilt the chassis using a new screw kit I got off Ebay and its looking pretty good.

Though there is a few things that could do with tidying up.

I have the gold oil filled shocks on it but one of the sprong collars is a bit knackered. Could I just replace the collar from some other shocks or would it be worth replacing the shocks? I am open to suggestions. Don't want to got spending mega buck maybe £15. I've read that one of you guys used the 3racing ones, any good?

I'm also after a new body, I understand that it would be a repro and have contacted Kamtec about one and asked if the ZX-S one would fit(?) but they said they are thinking of making a repro body but it is not on their site if they have started making one.

Also the tyres a pretty worn, I have schumacher mini spikes on at mo. I work away from home a lot and was thinking of using it local parks etc probably on grass mainly. Any recommendations?

Sorry for all the questions but want to get it looking good again, the ones you guys own look really nice, hope I can do mine justice. I seem to have a bit of R/C legend on my hands without realising it.

All info and opinions are much appreciated.

Cheers.

Nick.

Nick,

shocks if you can find the collar get it otherwise yes the 3 racing ones are pretty good but beware the set up will be totally different so really up to what you want.

Body shell the zxs does fit but is a tight fit or you could buy the tomcat shell from them but the zxr undertray isnt an exact fit so a mod will be required.

Also fyi fibre-lyte does all the flat bits so may be worth checking out.

Annsman mad rat front and rear wheels are a perfect fit, they all have hexes in them just in case you were wondering.

Tyres, carpet schumacher yellow mini pins, grass yellow mini spikes but if your just messing around i would advise blue instead as they will last longer. Hope this helps

Keep asking questions and answers will be given.
