A few Q's re coming to a club night
Hi all
I'm working near Milton Keynes for a fortnight in June, hoping to come and race one of your Tuesdays, work schedule allowing. I've seen hall opens at 1700, racing at 1900 I think? What time would I need to be there to book in by? I'll happily help with setup if I'm early enough but suspect with work that won't happen. Shock tower protector; I run a B5m, I'm sure there are a few at the club, do you still need a shock tower protector with shocks mounted on rear of a plastic tower? Will a home made old wing lexan job do? Finally, tyres, I'm guessing Yellow Minispikes/Cut Staggers? Food...I'll not have time to eat after work, is it 'dinner' style food or crisps?! Any weird or wonderful rules I need to know about? Aware of booking in on here. Thanks in advance! Last edited by andrewc; 17-04-2015 at 12:47 PM. |

Firstly welcome
Track is normally set up by 6pm Booking in usually starts around 6:30pm Remember to bring your BRCA membership card with you - you need to show it otherwise you will not be able to race First heat is usually at 7pm 3 heats and a final - usually finish after helping to pack away about 10:30pm As long as you have some form of shock tower protector you will be OK Club has sturdy shock tower protectors for sale on the night Correct - Yellow Minispikes rear /Cut Staggers front - club sells tyres There is an onsite canteen that for £5.00 or less you will get a choice of cooked meal and a drink What happens on the rostrum stays on the rostrum and no swearing at the marshalls |

Awesome thanks for that; BRCA card lives in the pit box so just the tower protector to sort then!
Hopefully see you all in June for an evening |

Still planning on joining you for a couple of club nights early June. : )
Rear yellow mini spikes; cut any rows off? Front cut staggers; new or used best? Anything trimmed/ground off these? If anyone has posted a B5m setup sheet anywhere please drop me a link; I'm currently setup for carpet so hopefully not too far off. I'll crash too much for it to matter anyway...! (Shock protector made!) |

Grip is pretty high, but depending on your setup I wouldn't trim anything before you arrive.
Easier to trim a few off than glue them back on Carpet setup should be fine as a start. |
