Storm valley on the 27/10/13
So I am going over to storm valley to give it a go on dirt. Should be lots of top drivers this time as the worlds are finished and should be great day. Give this bump up a try in electric. So if you fancy coming get booked in quick because I have a feeling it's going to be busy.

Mico's are open tyres, we don't allow astro tyres they must be a dirt type tyre that won't wreck the surface

great day
Just like to say what an awesome days racing I had , Great Venue with loads of Potential. After not racing for 12 months I was very unsure what to expect but enjoyed every min loved the clay felt like an out door track but inside loved it ! There was one jump on a Conner that could do with re profileing for 10th as a little too harsh but still very enjoyable, maybe for next season also could we lift the control tire, more down to the price off the tire I accept we'd can't help this but £26 a set is a lot for some people. Thank you to all involved in making the day enjoyable! Loved the track great atmosphere will be there next month ( work depending )
Thanks Ben |

Awsome day
I totally agree with ben I loved the track best days racing in a long time really enjoyed myself, I also think the jump just before the pit straight does need re profiling as its a little too steep for the 10th cars to make. also agree with ben on the tyres bit expensive not sure people would like to spend £26 on tyres when there are cheaper sets out there what will just work as good maybe you wont get the same performance out of the cheaper tyres but people are more likely to come as they can keep the budget on the low and have a good days racing on clay. Thanks guys really did love the track what's not to like indoor racing on clay BRILLIANT,everybody was very friendly Thanks guys.

Do you need to buy a new set every meeting? The surface can't be that abrasive. Thought you would get a couple of meetings out so a set.

I have ran 2 meetings on 1 set of M4's that's on a 2wd and I'm looking at running the same set at the next round.

I think it depends on how damp the surface is; first time I went the surface was damp all the time I was there and tyre wear was virtually non-existent. Second time, it was noticeably drier and tyre wear much more evident. Front tyre wear not as noticeable.
This is M3 rib fronts and a M4 rears. I found you could run M3 rears when its damp but M4 was the way to go when the track dried. I've only been a couple of times so not professing to be an expert, just sharing my experience running mid motor 2wd. |

my obs
I have to disagree with the re-profiling, it needs a slow section to keep the lap times up, not sure what the quickest lap of the day was but I would imagine a 16.? reprofile that so you can clear it and you'll be into the 15's and the track would be too busy
imo it was just about right for the venue size
