Here is a rundown of the two trucks that matter in the U.S. & a few other two consider.
#1 t-4, endless amounts of resources & wins. -needs gt2 front pivot, arms, front & rear shock tower. #2A Losi xxx-t mf2 The Losi stock & 19 turn drivers choice. -needs lunsford turnbuckles & ball studs #2B Losi xxx-t CR the mod truck drivers choice -needs lunsford turnbuckles 7 ball studs The others X-60 not really much on it. GV2-T-not really much on it. E-firestorm not much race support, it is by far the most durable & can be made very fast on the track. It needs GT2 cvds, hubs, upgraded shocks, and alum. front pivot block. The left & right rear arms need to be switched & the shocks can be shimmed w/ a thumb screw. If you are learning & don't have money then I would pick up a T-4 team kit. If you have money & are learning then do the same thing w/ the upgrades listed. If you know your stuff really well then possibly give the firestorm a shot, it is super durable you just have to know car setup really well. |

Hi Party Wagon,
What are the benifits from using the GT2 front pivot, arms and front & rear shock tower on the T4? And by 'pivot' what do you mean?? Steering assembly??

richard lowes t4 is lightning fast its just factory spec with no special upgrades, mines not far off either and is just factory spec too never heard of essential upgrades or what they do to help, the rpm front wishbones could help they are alot more durable but if your a good driver then theres not much need

has anyone tried the losi speed-t, was just looking at it and considering it comes with the losi brushless system and spektrum, its not bad value for £199
and does it comply with the 1oth truck class rules?, scale, dimensions etc ta |

A friend of my from Glos is getting a Traxxas Slash thingy and ill be bringing him down to Caldicot sometime soon.
No idea about rules/dimensions....infact I dont even know if there are a BRCA set of rules for EP 2WD 10tgh trucks? As far as Calidcott goes though, aslong as we are all racing "1/10th 2WD trucks" im happy! I cant wait actually, tis gonna be a good laugh but still with its battles lol

Cavalieri's clay setup from that meeting is completely dialed indoors on carpet/slippy with yellow minispikes on the rear with yellow stagger ribs or blue minispikes on the front, I tried a few setups including making it like a b4 setup but this was by far the best setup.

aka RC Universe DARKWAV's E-firestorm setup: - Brushless system (because it's fun) - T-Bone bumpers (rear bumper especially) - Gear Diff Oil (if just for bashing than 30K or 60K is great because it doesn't seep out so quick) If racing, also get: - Pro-Line tires to match track surface conditions - Softer springs - 25 wt shock oil Stiff springs in back good for bashing to support the heavier rear-end of the truck. But i've been told ...generally speaking... softer springs are better in back for racing, perhaps it is more for improving traction than anything else I'm guessing. I'm not much of a racing expert though, only been out a few times myself. [quote] Good points for this setup, figured Id post it here.
