also the grove in the blue motor plate above....could it be for xtra heat sinks(similar to what welshy mentioned) like the lazer posted before it on the other page?

I would say a good clean but then came that last pic and woila it was cleaned . Check the bearings and belts and have fun with it.

If you want to modify it there are plenty of parts out there sp-107/LA-304 rearhubs for example are easy to get and they look alot better. Also LA-219.7 for the front together with some LA-235 makes it even more nicer ,ballends for them are UM-112 or UM-112H

Ballrace the steering if you havent done that 2st 3x6x2,5 flanged replaces the 2 bushings. In the steering arms you will need 4st 5x8x2.5

For steering post just use what ever you may find i have no good answer since im using stickytape.

Good luck

As per iso, new rear hubs, ball bearings, new tie rods, i prefer lunsford, new ball joints and could use newer ball cups like the zx5 but i prefer associated. I use associated b4 servo posts with the spacer plate to push the servo closer to the belt. I would also look at fibre lyte which the web address is below and check out the lazer zx and zxr shock towers, steering plate, L brace. My preference is the semi circular front tower, my own version rear tower and zx straight steering plate, and annsman madrat front and rear wheels which look superb. Also from kamtec a choice of zxs shell and under tray or parma tomcat shell but no undertray yet from them. Thats for starters

I may look too stunning. It would be difficult to race it with the thought that I might crash such a stunning thing.

It wont get a scratch as it will be covered by the shell and gear cover so no need worry. I race my zxs proto type regularly so of youve got it race it.

Screwing a lot is great! Just make sure you are the one who is screwing, and not the other way around.

Nope, just been a bit busy. Now screwing around with those lovely ladies in Sweden sounds much better than with stainless steel screws hehehe

Anyway, one week or so and I will have another CAD drawing. I have had a rethink and believe this design is much better suited and will look great when built and with blue belts. Once I have sorted the CF side of things then its down to getting a mold made out of plastic and testing.

Friday im finishing off my B2 setting for carpet and is not far off the pace, roughly half a lap so possibly 10 or so seconds off the pace at a club meet and aim to resolve these issues then. Once completed the ZXR is out again for one more blat and hope to sort the cars rear and front issues out and also hope the belt doesnt snap.

After our designs of the front and rear box design, motor mount, upper deck mounts, belts, pulleys, there isn't really anything you can't buy anymore. The only things that is not custom are the diffs and the arms.
