Default Replacement Antenna for Spektrum DX3

Has anyone replaced the antenna on a DX3? I'm having some trouble changing mine - have managed to hook up the wiring in the case, but my replacement antenna came without the black plastic collar that sits at the base of the aerial so I have to use the old one. Trouble is, I have no idea how to remove it as it is well and truly lodged with the old aerial.

Thanks for any help,
Barry

You have to push it inwards from the outside as far as I remember - I think you also have to squeeze together the bottom of the hinge assembly (inside) for it to come out.

Thanks Marvin, that did the trick. I push a flathead screwdriver inside the outer part to squeeze together the inner part and it popped cleanly out of the top.

Must make a note of this as the assembly is so flimsy I'm bound to need to do it again!
