New motor advice please.
I have done some searching on the forum but can only seem to find older posts about this.
I have a 1/10 Schumacher cat k1 aero and currently has a castle motor in that I am not very impressed with and it's far too much torque for the car. I've seen some old posts about the speed passion v3. I just wanted to ask what your opinions are please. It has a castle creations SCT combo 4 pole at the moment. Will this speed controller be fine with most motors? I have read 6.5T is the way to go for 4wd. Is the KV rating important? I am running turnigy nano-tech 5000mah 2s 7.4 30c 60c lipo saddle pack if that helps. Thanks in advance for any help. Last edited by Lemski; 29-05-2016 at 01:28 PM. |

I'm not familiar with the castle stuff, isn't really used for racing.
Ignore the kv and just go for either a 6.5 or a 5.5 turn. Not sure if your esc is sensored? The speed passion motors are good, as are sky rc esc. 120amp toro. |

Thanks. No it's the sidewinder so it's not sensored. 😥

Okay well I run the hobbyking xcar 120a beast escs and they are great.
Hobbyking motors are good as well, 6.5 trackstar is more than enough. |
