Default TRF201 Layshaft

Right chaps and ladies, I am ordering up a new layshaft and gear, with the sole purpose of having a one piece, solid layshaft made by RW Racing (top gear cutters and general superbness).

How many of you would be interested?

well, on a personal feeling, I do not like having that pin through the layshaft gear, I have loctited mine, so it isn't just a reliance on an o-ring, but I would prefer a solid shaft, then you got nothing to work free...

Right guys, spoke to RW, and RC Champ, I got a layshaft, layshaft gear AND an idler gear coming, Neil@RW has said there should not be a problem making a solid layshaft and a machined idler gear.

Timing....

RC Champ are awaiting stock of the Layshaft from Tamiya, this is forecast as this weekend, so stuff should be in the post to me on Monday, which would mean, end of next week at least for delivery, the items will then go straight to RW.

Well I went to the shop today, tower hobbies have thiers on order.
So they are waiting on Tamiya. Tower Gets thiers in, I get mine in.
Great Planes is through Tower Hobbies, now that makes sense...

Stella's orders went out pretty quick, downside no body or wing...only for USA.

Would be interested

I had 2 idler gears just gone up in small dust clouds, I didn't have any grease at all those times as i usually dont in my other cars, the first gear made it about 20 packs on a slippery track and 2 on high grip astro the second went after 6 packs on high grip astro now running with grease and its holding fine for 8 packs at the moment

Although no problem with the layshaft

Setup:
SP V3 7.5R
23 Pinion
Stock spur
Slipper set at 1-1,5M

Can anyone mesure the size of the gear? We tried the TQ/Team C Idler gear in a 201 but it was too tight.

I'd like to have the motor in the center...
