Good first night, great atmosphere with a well laid out track which made for some good racing!

Looking forward to attending on a regular basis!

Last nights track was a nice mix of carpet (2 types) and floor with added bumps and jumps scattered in places.

I was running 4wd and had mini pins on (also tried worn mini spikes but they were a bit too worn!), not sure what some of the other guys in 2wd were running though. was able to get some good grip on the flooring though.

Quick laps were around the 12 second mark but this was a fairly fast track, no doubt a longer lap could be achieved with some twistier sections but was the layout used last night was a good starting point!

Plenty of space for pitting, bring your tables and chairs, also plenty of electrical sockets so bring your extension leads!

The timings etc for next weeks race is on the telstar website i believe, and you can also submit your details on there to help with the booking in process on the first night!

Think that covers most of the questions???

The hall opens at 5.30pm. Once the tracks laid it open for open practice with the first heat on the line for 7pm. The track has to be packed away for 10.30pm so 3 rounds and a final.

There was about 15 of us last night. Just wanted to make sure everything was working. Get the track laid for the first time and stuff like that.

I've got to enter the majority of drivers onto the driver database, so for speed if people can supply booking in details beforehand I can update it during the week ready for next wednesday.

Usual stuff

Full Name
Cars
Frequency
Ability out of 15.

Thanks

Matt

Hand out transponders are being used to start off with but the club/track does plan to upgrade to a system capable of running PT's in the future so it doesn't hurt to include that information so it can already be entered onto the data base!

Just a quick point for those looking who do not know the aria and to confuse matters. The school is no longer called Kingsbrook, it now has Elizabeth Woodville signs up. although satnavs and google will still be kingsbrook

Just like to echo a few of the positive comments others have made.
I had a great night last night, I think the venue is a good one and the track was very good (I wouldn't mind a bit more wood floor and a bit less carpet and maybe a jump with a down ramp in future track layouts)
Matts done a great job organising everything to get this far and I'd encourage everyone who's missing Moto arena Tuesday nights to give this a go. With good attendance it could be every bit as competitive and fun! Keep up the good work Matt and you can count on my support.
