The indoor one has,and by the weekend the outdoor one should have a timing system too.

@ mattybucks, you can't hire other scales or go on some ace simulators at your local park tho,......can you?

Is there any racing or is it just open tracks?

If there's no racing will lap timing be opperating on the tarmac tracks for practice?

If we turn up with a 10th buggy - do we use inside or outside track ? don't care about timing, would like to look around and run around the tracks.

The outdoor track is constrained by the limits of the site and the fact that there is avery large tree with a conservation order on it!

The lack of a timing loop is temporary and only because it's not finished yet!!!

I had a chat with Grant (MD of Moto Arena) and pointed out a couple fo amendments that need to be made, mainly to do with sight lines and track levels.

It will due to the space constraints probably not hold a national, but for club meetings and testing it will be more than good enough.

Basically EVERYTHING is still being tweaked and amended, the facility will evolve very quickly over the next few months taking feedback from racers and members of the general public and corporate sponsors.

It is already a great venue, it is a new venue, it has got teething troubles, but they are listening, and things are constantly evolving.

The only thing I would recommend is that rather than sniping from a distance go visit the site, give some constructive feedback !

I've read all 270 posts and am still unsure of exactly what classes will be catered for.

Is there an offroad indoor or outdoor RallyX track?

Is there an offroad large scale track? Or is it all onroad except for the track around the tree?

There will be racing sunday morning. The MK touring car club are there until 1 pm i believe.
The rest of the weekend is open track, unless arrive and drive hirers come then they will have 1 of the tarmac tracks to themselves(good job there's 2 of them! lol)
I think the MK club bring their own pc for the lap timing,if you have one with the software on,i'm sure it'd be ok for you to use it.

Well said Exint2! I have also raised the issue of line of sight with Grant.

The only offroad track is the one you mentioned, that is next to the big tree.

LOL, if it rains you can sail it round the off-road track! It would make a great boating lake.
