Default Low grip CR2 set-ups

Anyone run the CR2 in low grip conditions? What set-up did you end up with? Maybe some of our friends who race on dirt can help us out here?

Cheers,

G

Ran at Kiddy on Sunday, that was pretty low grip all day. Green ballistic (spikes) on the back with 20wt and white springs, Schumacher greens on the front with 30wt and green springs. The fourth round was the driest and quickest but I had a couple of errors and still improved by 13 seconds. I had two 3rd's in round to qualify 4th overall but two of the cars in front were running ballistic pins so were obviously going to be quicker.

Well happy with the car, going to run it at PIDA tonight with a soft setup and see how it goes.

A couple of weeks ago I ran it at PIDA and Lee Martin had a go at the end ....... he didn't want to give it back LOL

Alex your car did look good at the weekend.

I ran as per ac website but changed to 27.5 rear oil and yellow springs. Everything else was as per ac starting setup.

What and you think that me going through ALL of the details of my car will get Northy to use my set up? ........... NOBODY USES MY SET UPS

The base set up is the same as the AC website, just with the differences to the shocks that I already posted

Also ran the car at PIDA last night and with the same set up as Kiddy (shock oil etc) but with orange springs at the front and short wheelbase and had one small copper washer under the rear for more anti squat. Worked really well but I won't tell you how I did because DC will get jealous because he has to run that other mid mounted car that isn't as good as mine

Ran my car at stotfold today in very low grip conditions, the track was very greasy and damp, Below is my set up

Front
Black sping/red piston/35w
shock position - inside tower, inside wishbone
camber link - 2b 3 washers under link
VLA - Long
30 degree caster
Front roll bar thinest bar
front wing fitted
Geah front bulkhead
Rudebits Brass Front corner section weights

Rear
Pink spring/orange piston/30w
Shock position - No2 tower Inside bone
Camber link - 3c
Rear hub carriers - CR 1 degree toe in (gives the car 4 degrees total)
Wheelbase - Short
Anti Squat 2 degrees with rear pivot block flipped
VLA - Long
Rear Roll bar - thinest cr roll bar
Hydra Drive fitted
CVD rear drive shafts
7.5t rear motor with 40c cells
Rudebits Battery straps - (50g weight)
Rudebits brass sidepod weights
Rudebits brass under motor weight
Jconcepts 7inch v wing full gurney
extra idler gear fitted to motor plate
60g additional weight in chassis and X6 body used as i feel this give the car more rear end grip as it pushes the air upto the rear wing and the car into the ground.

Any questions just shout, i run the car much the same in the dry just with less rear wing

Here's my slippy setup.

I would have tried the rear Roll bar if I had one.
