did you guys race at cobra?

I got a question- whats the rules on tyres?

went to caldi on friday and the kit tyres where intresting on the polish- noticed Scott had some pins on his sc10( didnt stop him getting whipped mid air lol)

is every one changing the kit tyres?

im asking as i found some wide wheels with ribs and pins that will fit from another truck
but want to keep it the spirit of the sc10 and not change to much

we were running yesterday, kit tyres, power sliding round, the only time it got tricky, was where the ground got slick on some of the corners, otherwise, worked a treat!!

you start whacking lots of grip on there, it becomes trucks and not SC10's!

but when the truck isnt moving in a straight line on polish floor you need to look at Grip

im not saying i want it to handle like my b4- but i do want to be able to apply the power and know it will move

If you can't get traction you have to much power, that is the big leveler with the SC10. If you have more power then you will lose traction. I say kit tyres should be the only rule. If you start alowing other tyres you might aswell go race stadium trucks IMHO

8.5 and a 20c lipo to much power??

if every one keeps to kit tyres then ill look at the power issue- im not sure if it will happen

Yep, for polish with kit tyres it is, what makes it fun is that you have to drive these things instead of firing them between corners at max speed. If you don't get that then I guess you wont get SC10 racing, it's all about fun

Kit tyres and Diff, and thats it, anything else is just tuning to control the sliiiiiiiiiide....

Craig, at COBRA yesterday, full opposite power slide on the dirt hairpin, top right corner, was freakin awesome!!

Oh im with that its all about- friday was 7 of use just sideways all the way and going for gold on the jumps- it was good fun and i dont see the point in counting the laps with the sc10s- just say go and wait for the 5 min buzzer to end lol

I cant realy change whats in the sc10- but im sure i can re set the speedo so its more polish floor friendly.

im with you both on the kit tyres and Kit diff.
but im not fully with you on the driving- you need more rubbing skillz than driving skillz lol

i shall bin the other tyres i had lined up then and keep it all Kit and stay sidways.

As an avid fan of watching SC10's I love the idea of kit tyres.
Watching all you loonys at Caldicot sliding and drifting around the hairpins is brilliant, so much so that if I could afford an SC10 I WOULD buy one.

I would get one over a micro for the winter

the best bit about sc10 is every one exepts there will be rubbing and has a good laugh doing it

yesterdays' racing was top notch. just amazing fun. and the attending audience seemed to dig it too!

good luck to anyone running anything hotter than a 10.5 - yesterday It would have been a hindrance rather than a help. on kit settings I was powersliding onto the main straight, fishtailing most of the way....

Default Solicitor now involved

Ok Milzy a letter is on it's way from my solicitor

They are not spike they are GOOSEBUMPS and they gave YOU goosebumps when I ran you straight off track into rostrum BUT yes you did flip me 360 mid air lol. Only reason I had them on is that my stocks have got stripped wheels and waiting for new to arrive !! I think run what ever motor you can control so get a 13.5 in there MILZY boy......

I love running the truck outside, started the day only racing buggy. By the time Round 3 was running I just couldn't fight it any more and had to get out there with it.

They are great fun and looks like if we get the numbers we will run a Truck (SC10) class at COBRA throughout winter months indoor. Before I get shot down this will be an OPEN Truck so not only SC10's. Might have to get some bigger jumps made (DCM+)?? Don't think we need to put restrictions on each other as to what to do with the SC10 but the thought of seeing heats of 6 plus indoor is getting me excited......

Will get some pics on here once the indoor has started to wet the taste buds of all those psycho SC10 drivers, oops sorry open truck drivers

SM

someone get me some timber, screws and hard board, I will make some jumps, get me some long cardboard tubes, sheet of ply, and a carpet off cut, and you will have a rumble strip, all we need then, is a rhythm section.
