Tyre rule
It has been pointed out that our tyre rule wording is a bit out of date and so I will amend it prior to RHR.
The ruling should state that the control tyre is only on the rear axle otherwise stagger ribs are not allowed to be run on the front of the 4wd. While this would suit the stalwarts of the manly tyre brigade it doesn't suit the normal people who don't enjoy the grip roll induced misery served up by our modern grip levels. We will make a call on the new two row yellow studs next week but assuming the supply doesn't run out too quickly they will be allowed. Apologies for any confusion Nathan |

Two row studs are already out of stock.
However I should have a load for the regional!

Just my two pence worth, 2 row stud tyres shouldn't be allowed at this round. They may become available for next weekend but we haven't had any time practicing with these tyres and would be unfair especially if staggers are banned.
Just out of interest why aren't staggers allowed on 4wd cars? Is this the same at national level (I have never run at nationals) Thanks |

control tyre is on the rear axle only. you can run what you like on the front as long as its commercially available. staggers can be run on the front

What Ned has said is that the rule "as published" would mean that staggers wouldn't be allowed. However, he's said that this is an oversight and that it isn't written correctly, and hence he's going to amend it.
