Actual rates are stated here http://www.oople.com/forums/showpost...52&postcount=6

Dark yellow #60 is around that figure, it looks like Lee was using Yellow #65 springs in the picture though.

Sadly never had any Tamiya springs to measure so can't be sure of the rates, sorry.

I've often been a fan of AE silvers on the rear. Very similar weight. But a lot of people don't like them for whatever reason. Maybe it's the feel thing?

Well, will soon find out, the one's I had off Tony at the weekend definitely were the same colour as Pidge's, and I have #65's on their way to me in the post, if they match then it was #65's being used!

Am I right or wrong on cut springs not been as consistent??

At least its not about sand .. Sorry, we put some serious effort into putting on a great event for you guys and thought the sand in the new astro was all sorted - those of you who saw the track on friday night would have seen how well prepared it was. Hopefully all the off-track facilities made up for it

Great job Brad-Lee

Well done, Lee!!!! I don't care what springs you run, dude. Awesome display as usual. It would probably be best for the rest of us if you didn't run any springs at all. Sorry you didn't find your sun glasses, but at least your wife leant you hers for the pic

Well done, James
Track 90% (only due to the obvious, both layouts excellent!)
Off track 110%
Great all round score!!! (my opinion only, obviously)

Less coils = harder spring !

It's a mechanic rulle !

We already used Kyosho yellow springs on the 501X, it's a Hupo tips from 2007 !

Also have to consider wire size, section (round/oval/square etc.) and material (although there isn't much better the various grades of spring steel commonly used in RC)

I don't know what you lot are on about!

Just watched the video and my old hornet could have gone round the track faster than that. And what's with that marshall, never seen one move so slow?
