Dave, might as well buy it now. Once you start trying to convince yourself there is any logic behind buying a new car, it is only a matter of time

To be fair the sx3 is a great car, i cant fault it, the wide rear track made a big difference for me.....

Difference is not really that noticeable in my opinion. Just finding I'm having to fine tune it for me to be as comfortable as I was with the sx3. It's a really good car, but much the same beast.

Hmmm, interesting. I have 2 sx3's and am so happy with the car I just cant imagine I would gain that much. However as Rob has already picked up on I am not sure how long I can fight the urge

Improvement comes from practise and learning wot changes in setup do.

Welll the suspension geometry looks very near the same, different weight distribution and motor rotation is all I can see that would be different so should be similar to quicker in my eyes doubt very much will be worse

Comparing one to my sx3 it seems a fair bit longer as well. I'm edging towards keeping the sx3 and getting tappered pistons for small bores, wide rear end and bulldog shell. I suspect a man of my ability wouldn't notice much difference

Default SX3 vs K1

Hello all,

Same here between my SX3 and K1, 90 gram difference.
The front to rear weight bias is a little different aswell.

SX 3 front 47%
rear 53%

K1 front 45%
rear 55%

The cars side by side, electronics nearly the same.

Greetings

Whats the reason for the K1 having a longer wheelbase comparing to the SX3? Looks to be nearly 10mm longer.

I assume schumacher did most of there testing / development on high grip astro or carpet, so there must a reson for it?

You can clearly see the wheelbase length difference there, interesting.

The longer chassis theory is strange as with the right setup on a shorter car it can be just as agile IMO.

But you can never have the stability and corner speed that a longer wheelbase can provide compared to a SWB car.

And it's a tuning option like all other changes

I thought a shorter wheelbase setup works better on high grip astro tracks that include some technical / tighter sections.

God,I'm confused.
