I've re-joined iRacing just for the MX5's - really like driving them. I tried the solstice back when I tried iracing a couple of years back and found it impossible to complete a race but the MX5's are sweet.
I got down to 144's on laguna seca with the MX5 roadster but goodness knows how people can do 141's on there!

Definitely the best driving sim out there

I'm on the same deal Dave, yeah theres just the one view tho you can change the view angle if you want - there's the right hand and left hand drive cars if you didn't already realise (I didn't at first realise they were different)
They have different gearing and are better suited for different tracks depending on the suitability.

These cars are way better than the old ones. The oval stuff in the legends is pretty fun if you wanna try it out - its loads easier than track racing but still actually fun despite the monotony of only going left.

Mazdas are awesome tho

That’s the deal I’m on too. Actually preferring the oval racing with the Legends, it’s great fun with some pretty well disciplined racing, even though I’m still at rookie status.

There’s a new free car coming out Dec 23, the street stock, looks like it’ll be a laugh.

yeah Iracing is good. i used to be really into all the online racing. but i gave up to come back to rc racing. i raced with dale earnhardt jr.a few times in nascar.. the only think i did not like about Iracing it was the only sim u have to pay for and pay alot of money i think i spent about $450 on it getting upto pro..

Other good sims

Rfactor
Live for speed (very good)

if anyone wants a g25 wheel im selling mine

yeah ive been having a blast on the ovals and had a couple of 2nd places in full races, turned a couple of 16 sec dead laptimes too and the cars are real fun to drive.

im not so keen on closed cockpit cars tbh and much prefer the open wheelers like the skip barber cars...we will have to get in a race someday for a laugh jimmy
