New CASTER racing 4wd electric buggy
We saw photos of the new Caster racing SK-10 electric 10th scale buggy earlier this week but it didn't look all that HOT to us - but now RC special have some sneaky photos of the fully hopped up car and it looks a whole lot more interesting. Logos etched into this, the apparent 'pro' spec version say 'S10B'.
Unfinished anodising and basic dog-bone driveshafts possibly point toward the car not being a final-spec version. The hexes look like this buggy will be set up to use Hot Bodies / Kyosho SP style wheels rather than the more popular Losi style fitment. Thanks to RC Special.com for the photos above, check out the >>link<< for more - they didn't name the buggy for some reason but we have no such restriction, so its a CASTER Racing S10B from what we can tell. The SK-10 basic-spec buggy is shown below: Caster: Caster Racing have released the following information regarding their all new EP 10th scale buggy, the SK-10. - Caster Racing is proud to announce the release of a new 1/10th 4WD off road buggy. They started off with a high level competition RTR chassis design foundation. The SK-10 Buggy is an EP buggy that's got all the racing features, and performance that a competition car needs. It's 100% upgradable chassis to a higher level competition part and features. The SK-10 comes with the most advance performance design such as Mini Big Bore shocks with 3.5mm shock shaft. Slipper clutch differential in the centre, those are only available and build in the competition kits, but we have put all those racing features into SK-10 buggy which makes the buggy one of the kind in the market, and amount others. we have raised up the entry level bar. The advantage of having such a buggy, it's totally 100% race competitive with other racing kits in the market for the fair price you have paid. in other words, the C/P(Cost/Performance) rate is much higher than other kits out there in the market. Thanks for the tip off!

Diff slipper sounds nice

the hotbodies d4 could be made to have seperate slip front and rear meaning it worked like a diff, most ran it as a fixed solid slipper

Like the losi slipper or the twin tamiya one, doesnt have quite the same affect as a centre diff does tho

Sounds like its similar to the ZX5FS??
This has a separate pad for front and rear... in 2 different compounds, it can also be locked up as 1 using a pin to work like a BMAX etc.. |

yes but it was crap! It sent all the power to the wheels with least grip! Made for some really odd handling. I pinned mine up and the car was transformed.

it will be a composite chassis when it comes out right ?

Do not think so. Think this is it. But I´m not sure how a alloy topdeck is the way to go. A Cf one should be better and cooler

the pic above is just most of the option parts made into 1 car
i think it will be composite to start with then the options available seperatly and hopefuly a cf pro car but dont hold me to this lol |

Milled alloy chassis, alloy top decks and alloy center mount = one very un-flexible chassis! Obviously not the norm (bar Durango) but we will have to wait and see....
