I guess the normal velvets shocks are

W5194V Triple Cap Thread Shock (30mm)
W5195V Triple Cap Thread Shock (42mm)
W5196V Triple Cap Thread Shock (38mm)

Not sure which size is the best for the Lazer ZX.....
Any suggestions are welcome!

Guys I just bought a set of alloy pivot blocks that are now being made, forgotten the name of the company but they are not an exact copy of the originals and don't fit correctly. I have emailed the chap making them asking if he can rectify as I cannot use if they don't fit correctly. Front rear gearbox pivot block the holes are drilled in the wrong place as they are just off centre so not an easy fit and the rear two blocks the wishbone holes are closer to the gearbox and the rear block cannot be turned upside down so cannot use on jumps without kick up. Im a bit gutted about this.

Was it the ones from Pargu? I just bought a set but have not had a chance to test fit them. I'm not sure if the seller is that fluent in English, I have sent questions to his website in the past and never received a response

Hi,

I've got some LA245s for the front of my ZXR so I got some blue wheel hexes for them. The question is can I use ZX-5 wheel shafts (part no. LA233) for the rear so I can use the blue hexes on there too?

Any help is much appreciated.

Nick

You can see the mod I did to the ZX plate in the pic below against a standard one.
here are my steering pics for mid.

Found it, anyone interetysed please see below curtousey of Iso.

Quote:

LA231 is 68mm long (coloured Black)
LA232 is 65mm long (coloured Black) - Longer front long one
LA245 is 62.5mm long (coloured Silver) - Is this the rear one?
LA257 is 73mm long (coloured Silver

Yeah the LA-232 is the correct for the front
Tha LA-245 i have bought those and they are the same as the UM510 ie they have the long axle with the 62.5 bone if you get the um ones they come with an sleeve to make it shorter but it wont fit with the hexes that you and i use the VZW-10 ones.

So for the rear on my lazers what i have done is that i have gotten the 62,5 bone and the LA-231.02 axle.

It makes everything easier.

One other thing you can do with the LA-245 is use the collar set for the ZX-5 between the hex and the bearing, if you are running the wider front might not hurt to add a couple mm width to the rear or if you are running the narrow front you can use the collar to give you a couple mm extra track

I'll be experimenting with all this, one day!

the cars better with a narrower rear end as the wider front males the car much more user friendly as well as more stable

No, not at all, those pics helped me see how it all goes together as its a bit different to how the ZX bellcranks and steering plate are stacked together
