I never said anything about performance, I just commented on how she looks. Its like a ugly school girl, ugly but performs well.

Its great to see another serious entry into the 2wd market. AE, Losi, Kyosho, HB, Academy, XFactory, and Atomic Carbon, who would have thought 4 years ago?
It looks like electric offroad is BACK!

The B4 CAN be improved on, and the guy who designed this has raced one for a long time now, so he will know what is good and isn't good. G

Yup, if this car has the precision of the b4 and the stability of a losi then it will be the best car out there, HB wouldnt make a car that they think is second best, would they?

i hope the shock towers are durable enough. one pice ore 2 pices shock towers is nothing i care about as long as they dont break.
i don t see any advantage in using an alloy chassis. i would prefere carbon. or does the alloy chassis have a kick up ? |

It will be interesting to see how it performs on the track, theres no reason why it should't go well, the car looks the part. |

Why does a 2wd car have to have a tub to be successful?
I dont think it does, a carbon chassis with different top decks can be made to be as stiff as required and even change the flex characteristics if needed by changing top decks. Tubs are very expensive to produce in the way AE and losi do which will put off the smaller companies like HB especially if there is no advantage. |

if the alloy has the kick up we have to use that alloy thing ... well not that cool.
thats what i thought first! but HPI and HB are related and HPI has many plastic chassis out. i think you dont need more expensive tools for grapht plastc than for nylon plastic. but tools are very expensive anyway |

If they thought a moulded chassis was faster im sure they would have gone for one.
I also dont think HB and HPI are as close as people think, i was told a while ago HB was a seperate company and not at all related |

sure thats what all my shirts say HB is nothing morer than the brand name for the racing products
all i wanted to say is that if one company knows about platic chassis its hpi first of all we should wait what is in the box. and i am not looking for plastic only i just cannot see the point why they made it the way they did. but i will drive the HB and i just want to know why they made those strange things and not that i have to buy a platic car |

HB and HPI are in effect the sae company, just 'different' brands, the HPI aim is the fun market where the HB is racing is how I see it.
As for the chassis, material isn't important, rigidity and ability to resist tweaking is very important, I am not sure, as not looked closely, but would hope that the chassis is either sufficiently braced or creased along the length to give longitudinal stiffness, and that the fron kick-up area is braced to stop the front plate bending backwards on impact, if this is the case and they have managed to keep the weight down, then it is an ideal situation, then all you got to fret about is whether it suits your driving style....

I must admit i thought this car would be based on the HPI 2wd Electric Truck that's come out - seemed to be quite a similar design to the B4 but it's good to see Adam do something different!
How long until the kits are actually out though? 2008's looking good again for 1/10th!

Agreed, a car doesn't have to have a plstic tub to be fast.
Over the last couple of days I have chatted with some of the countrys best racers about the car, and they all had positive views on it. I respect thier views more than someone I don't know on an internet forum. Oh, and Ali chassis seem to be back! Check out the Serpent Looks like I might run the 80's tub RC10 until the D2 is ready! G
