Default All day meeting - 29th May 2011 - 2nd Round of 2011 Summer Series

After the successful first round we have Steve Brown leading the 2WD champsionship and tied with Mark T in the 4WD.

So who is in for another great days racing, hopefully some more people coming in from far and wide.

Would be great to see the Schumacher crew, DC etc.

Also Schumacher are kindly supporting the series, so it'll be Schumacher TYRES ONLY.

There will be trophies for the top 3 in the finals.

Shame not to see trophies for the D finals. I know Adam was very pleased with his first one. I was thinking of running in the D myself!!!

Great meeting on the 1st May, well done to Mikey for making the A, well deserved result, Vega looking good, also great to see some new faces to club.

Will be good to see you all back

Also may look at a little raffle if people are interested. Tyres, Inserts, Pinions, Spurs, etc, Just a discussion point at moment.

RC Lazy I'm sure will contribute from is growing empire

Dean, any advise on set up is free but from what Ive seen your progress since returning to racing is great and only a matter of time before you will want to try and mid motor car.

I'm willing to donate a race with any or my cars for the raffle Just don't break it

Raffle on race day sounds a great idea, yep, we've got stuff we'd put in.

Free ticket or two for each entry and then £1 a ticket. Draw it at lunch time!

I would say aye for a a raffle, at least i would have a chance of winning something, as i've got no hope of winning any races.

Getting to drive one of Steve's cars - i would defo buy some tickets.

The car was great, its me thats the problem, you are right - i need to get down south and race more.

Although, despite having a new SP GT 2.1 EX speedo and a V3 6.5, it still seemed to labour along the back straight. It is no where near as quick as your TLR22 with the same motor, my batteries are 5000mah 30c and the gearing is 81/23. Would this be why?

Gearing looks about right mayby a 76 may help? The set up of speedo on the 2.1 maybe different to the GT Pro version Im using, so worth having a search around for what others are doing, also how old are your lipos and any tranny settings that could be slowing the car down.

Bear in mind I cooked a motor on Sunday, due to over gearing the stupid thing, so will be looking at playing with gearing more and more.
