Default Tyres - Cutting Outside Row of spikes

Having looked at some setups on astro have noticed that a large number of them have the outside row of spikes cut off on mini spike rear tyres, just wondering what this achieves?

I'd guess that it helps with traction rolling at the expense of mid corner grip?!?

Yeah it's to stop the car grip rolling. I didn't notice any less grip as a result but the spikes don't touch the track surface until the tyre leans a lot, but my driving isn't that good

I've also cut spikes off the fronts on 4wd as well

Thanks for that, tried it and does take the edge off the buggy considerably, will be my standard at my track from now on.
