Default Saddle Lipo's - What balance lead do I need?

Hello all,

Can anyone advise where I can find a balance lead for saddle lipo's? I have Reedy 5200's.

I borrowed a charge cable, which had a deans connector on one end (To connect to the charger) 2 x male corraly's, and a white balance plug. The small wires of the balance plug was wired into the main cables. Where can I get one from? I can't find one on JE Spares, Apex Models, or Modelsport? Perhaps I'm searching for the wrong description?

Thanks,

Chris

Are you serious Gazza? That'll take 2 hours per set?

The cable I looking for can be seen in the photo on this eBay page.

all you have to do is solder the 2mm plug to one of you connectors on the wire that links your 2 packs or get a 2mm female and do the same. i hope this link helps explain better than me

Hi Lee,

Is there no-where I could buy the lead from? Or does everybody just solder up there own?

I'll check what I have in my box Chris. I got 1 of these leads with each of my saddles and I bought 4 packs lol.

I did end up robbing the plugs, etc for other things, but I might have 1 still intact you can have. Just need to check I'm not leaving myself short lol.

Hi G,

Thanks for that. I dont mind paying a couple of quid for one.

I'm kind of borrowing one at the moment (I don't know where I've put it, I think I've given it back to Wez, connected to a chager I also borrowed!).

See you Tuesday,

Chris.

Since each saddle has 1/2 the capacity of a standard pack, they should only take 1/2 as long to charge - so your overall charge time should be the same (1hr. or less).

No, the same current will be needed for each cell individually.

Is this the one you are after (pic not that good from work)

http://www.muchmoreracing.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=39_73&produ cts_id=4445

Much More will ship direct to you if you ask, but shops like DMS will normally order stuff in for you, even if it isnt shown on their own website

Hi Ted,

Thanks for looking, but I dont think that's the one mate. My cells dont have the 2mm female connection on them.

Regards,

Chris

Presumably the MuchMore one comes with the necessary linking cable which does have the 2mm socket. Certainly looks that way from the pic.

Oh yeah, I see what you mean. The saddle link wire has a little 2mm socket on it.

This looks ok to me. £10 is a bit steep, but I guess it'll have to do.

Thanks.
