If you are really hammering the temps, put two fresh and new caps on the esc, also might be worth looking at your install to either get fresh airflow over the solder posts or even get a fan in there.

Good idea but Ive just decided to sell the whole system its giving me too many headaches. Ive spent half the money on crappy systems that have stayed cooler, I dunno what the deal is. Ive done what you have described as well and to be hnest for the money I paid for this it should be a non issue.

The tekin stuff works well on my 2wd but everyone Ive met with it in the 4wd is having heat issues. Sorry to have wasted all of ur time.

And DCM thanks for thr response.

Not a problem Tony, we do try to help, might be worth asking Northy on here, he has a Durango.

What setup are you running on it though, out of curiosity?>

There must be something up with your setup. I have run the RS Pro in my Durango for 18 months and not had an issue. Any chance of letting us know your speedo setup and maybe a pic of your instalation ???

And guys seriously I did try everything. Motor leads and heat sink were pointe away from the chassis to dispell more heat and really those who know the car KNOW there is barely enough room for the radio equipment as it is let alone fans. I dont want to make this thing a science project I just wanna run my 4wd in peace lol. Those who have had good luck with it, Im glad you did because the equipment is awesome but it just didnt work in this particular car for me.

I don't doubt it! Lol but sometimes you need to start fresh when youve exhausted it all.

I'm open to a good setup for my 201 2wd if anyone has one.

you could try the mod buggy setup of Limiter 95%, Dual Mode, Timing @80, or be adventurous and go for the Sensored setup, which will need a little playing with to get to work right, track length and style plays a big part in that.

Well its an indoor clay track. has a nice straight but what I need is the smoothest profile with a serious kick in the arse on the straight.

you may want to look at the sensored route then, with a low(ish) timing boost, and then a good amount of Turbo boost on the straight, maybe along the lines of :

End RPM 15,000
Start RPM between 4,000 and 5,00
Motor timing @ 0'
Boost timing @ 20'
Turbo timing @ Max

Turbo delay about 0.3s
Turbo Ramp set at 2

Sorry, didn't get much time over the weekend to get online as my little girl was ill and I was racing yesterday.

No issues with heat in my Durango here, setup as follows:

Dual Mode
timing 80
leave the rpm range as standard
limiter 80%
throttle profile 3
rev off
brakes 100%
min brake 05
neutral width 8

Running a redline 6.5 on a 23t pinion.

I do have a fan installed, but it is only running off the 5V.

I tried 212 sw for the first time yesterday, improved brakes and it seemed to be smoother and run cooler

The Sc4x's are rated only to 3s. Do NOT run 4s on these motors.
