We are now ready for our first Championships on carpet. If you want to race every Friday on carpet in the Bedfordshire area then you need to get to our club right now. Points are only awarded to members although guests are more than welcome to come along and race with us each week.

The club will be running tyre addative on the carpet. I have spoken with Ian from the Milton Keynes club who've supplied us with the carpet and he's OK with us using it.

However, we will only permit the following based upon the BRCA guidelines:

Corally TC2 Jack the Gripper - Part No 13779
CS Grip Tyre Conditioner - Part No C6400
LRP Top Grip Carpet 2 Blue Factor - Part No 65011
Nosram Traction Addative 'Carpet' - Part No NR96010
Orion Street Juice TC Traction F1 - Part No 44101
Orion Foam Juice Formula - Part No 44105
Speedtech Foam Traction Liquid - Part No FL001

These all work well together and will not affect grip levels. Other types will not be permitted. If you have never used tyre addative before we would highly recommend either the LRP or Nosram ones as they are very easy to apply.

We will be showing those new to addative how to apply it before we race next week so make sure you have some. I'm sure there will be plenty of us able to help those who do not have any.

It will be policed very strongly and no cars will be permitted to race if their tyres are dripping wet with addative, so make sure you have some kitchen towel available, though if you apply it correctly you will not have a problem.

Some great racing tonight guys and with 8 minute finals - boy that was tough but rewarding too.

Well done to Nick who got himself into the TC A Final for the first time, good driving.

Also Craig dominated in Micros again, though I feel there is little competition for him at present so come on guys start pushing him harder...

I have to say that the racing last night was probably some of the best we've ever had. The carpet has certainly raised the game for everyone and it was good to see close racing, but above all else clean racing

Just need to sort out the marshalling now

The Championship is now finished and the trophies will be handed out on Friday 17 September with the final championship standings being published after that meeting online.
