Default Club Meeting - Sunday 24 April 2011

Club meeting is on for this Sunday - forecast is very good.

We have been to the track this week and have carried out general repair work to parts of the track, jumps etc and have repainted track markings. We have managed to remove some more of the silt that was left when the water main flooded the track.

Appreciate that it is Easter Sunday but with so many other holiday dates around the next couple of weeks and the NW Regional the week after, we could get good attendance.

Look forward to seeing as many of you as possible!

What time would we need to arrive and while I know this is an impossible question to answer, what time do you expect to be finished?

Thanks very much.

We arrive at 10 am for track preparation and like to start racing by about 11 am or 11.15 am.

We have open practice while booking in and then run 4 rounds and a final. We rarely stay later than 4 pm.

Electric only, NITRO are not allowed because of the close proximity of the houses... sorry

On the back of the pm I sent you 2 days ago I popped over yesterday as I was in Bradford anyway tracks looking great a bit of a mixture of everything there

Only problems I found was at end of the straight a big blob of concrete sticking up very random to go over and one of the two larger jumps the one furthest away from the rostrum.

It seems like the up ramp is either damaged or worn out and your car actually bottoms out going up it. Going up it the other way which I don't think it is meant for also ends up with the same problem.

Is this jump going to be used for the regional and if so will it be repaired or modified in anyway with an additional ramp.

I can see a lot of people breaking there cars on it if not

Hope this helps you in advance

Gareth

Raced at batley for years and I can confirm people do not beak their cars on that jump. Given how the track is usually set up you never approach it with any great speed as the track turns off to the left immediately after so your car shouldnt bottom out unless you wanted to overshoot the corner

I agree. The track and that jump have been used for north east regionals with no problems. The blob at the of concrete is at the beginning of the straight and is also not a problem. Nowt wrong with the place.

Has the grip increased much since the track was cleaned?
