Its ok also try looking at Tamiya's TT01 is a good bet or TC4 / TC5 or Yokomo BD as these are also coming up cheap these days and once set up are normally quite easy to drive

I race a schumacher mission outdoors 17,5 class and its a good car easy to drive and set up + its cheap and easy to get spares and hopups. The Yokomo BD is a better car but spares could be an issue. So depends how much you can get each for I got my mission for £30 in brushed motor and esc.

Thanks guys for the replies , Very much appreciated , spares availability will certainly be an issue until i get the hang of things again Must say the prospect of racing again is a bit daunting tho , at my last club years ago we stood alongside the track but most clubs now seem to have raised platforms which ive never used before , while im sure you get a better view of the track it will take a bit of getting used to

So i now have a schumacher mission m1 it has a peak performance 12x2 nebula super touring motor . So im yet again asking for help from you guys , what pinion would you recommend ? What ride height ? Have you any set up info for me to start with ? I paid for my membership friday so will be attending tiverton and having a go in the near future , While my experience with cars is limited i am used to radio control system operation (model boats) it just seems a bit daunting at the moment but i am looking forward to having a go

The 12 double will be a bit of a handful at Tiverton so turn down the power if you can. I would recommend a good 19 turn with an overall ratio of about 8.2 as a start point.
Set the ride height at about 5-6mm and don't be precious about your carbon fibre. If you are looking for tyres CS27's work well for me.

Anything else I can help with you can email me on manpossessed@sky.com.

Looking forward to seeing you racing soon.

All the best

Gary

If she can't run, she can't chase you and drag you back!
