haha thanks, I stopped collecting when I started racing in 2002 - I wanted to get stuff like a hirobo rock-n-city, Yankee Electra, Team Associated YZ10 etc but I think I have too many cars now! The Yz870c super dogfighter is probably my favorite - I've got a runner with a new shell to paint somewhere also.

bah, I saw a guy sell 10-20 of them on ebay once - common as muck! A chain drive dogfighter or even a JRX2 is much more rare!

Tell you what, The best car you have there in my opinion is the Mid....

The first rc car i bought and raced at Rochdale with a cert Mr. chris long was the Optima mid. what an ace car they are.

Turbo being the ultimate....

Have you never been tempted to build it Jimmy???

Currently running to a collection of somewhere between 100 and 130 cars, I really haven't a clue exactly how many as only some of my collection is in my Tamiyaclub showroom. I tend to run them rather than restore them, so most aren't looking pretty, and my RC10 CE still gets a run out whenever I'm running in 2wd buggy. Only got one RC10, but there's 6 Procats to make up for it.

I've managed to get 5 out of the 6

BTW the ultimate Mid was the Turbo Optima Mid Special - a limited edition with lwb carbon chassis and top deck, ball diffs and two sets of wheels and tyres as standard. Good luck trying to find one though

That was the Optima Mid Custom Special ....... my first proper race car .... a VERY limited edition if I recal ...... back in the days when I was at middle school, racing for Puma Racing and my father was still with me.

My father died the day before my Egress arrived and as we had to pay for the funneral expenses I had to tell Puma we could not afford to pay for the car and thus I never got to open the box ..... it's why it is such an interesting car for me.

To this day I have never owned an Egress

I can't show you my collection, cos I don't have one.

My missus makes me sell any cars I don't use so that I can buy new ones.

Here's a photo of my super dogfighter 870c at the 2004 batley national! I was in the bottom final, the car was a bit pants on the rougher parts but on the grass it was on par with anything else. I put B4 shocks on and had to make a new higher tower for the front to use the longer shocks.
The chassis needed filing to fit modern cells

Finally got some pink wheels for it, and already have some new original tyres, new original shell - but I need shocks

Jimmy, a NIB Wild One. Respect. I can only boast one nicely 'run-in' example and a new built one I got to rolling chassis stage before I discovered racing. Now its just sat in the footwell of my Mini 35 in the garage - maybe one day I'll get it finished! Looks wise, old skool rules , the modern stuff just can't compete.

If I had the money I would have a mint optima chain drive........I just loved that car. Jimmy I spoted that box, throw those common old RC10s out the way and get the good stuff out

Jimmy that Yoke' of yours looks sweet!! I love the 870c and would die to have a nice one with a new body and undertray. Oh well I guess I might have to put up with just having some old Schueys.....
Ive had my hands into plenty of projects lately (including renovating my house on weekends-) but in between that and work Ive been throwing some cars together. I havent had enough time to finish them all yet but I thought I'd take my new XLS racing with me to show some of the guys. Anyway for the most part this car is a Procat but Im running a fibreglass saddle pack XLS chassis,XLS body and undertray with some sweet chroms rims too. The guys loved it!

The Galaxy was crazy fast with its box-stock 540s ! Well, at least for the kid I was...

I'd love to have one now !

I don't have as many vintage cars as a lot of collectors only 40 or so, here's a couple of my favorites.

My pretty standard Lazer ZX

My Ultima Pro with Duratrax chassis and Tamiya Sand Viper body and wing

My A&L RC10 with JPS Alloys, MIP Trans and composite craft nose plate

My Tekin RC10 again JPS alloys and a one off Fibre Lyte front shock tower

My JRX2 this one is currently under restoration and reconstruction with the addition of a LWB chassis and Junior 2 shell to come.
