Falcon rear suspension
Hey, has anyone _ever_ got the rear suspension to work well on a Falcon?
Any ideas where softer springs of that colossal length might be found? Cheers, Ty |

I had a falcon as my first car, at 8 years old.
If i remember correctly, we had to shorten the shocks using limiters to stop the driveshafts popping out! The chassis breaks really easily where it meets the front bulkead too, i think we reinforced it with washers somehow! |

and how about that steering geometry as the front suspension moves But, like you we had a Falcon early on and thanks to ebay we've again got another running one and a parts one. Sure, it runs around okay - and it makes that unfogettable falcon sound - but it would be nice to see if anyone managed to get the trailing arm system to actually damp bumps rather than just jack the car up to a fullly extended ride height 24/7 and bounce like a rubber ball. I think some softer springs might be a starting point. can springs be re-tempered or anything like that? Cheers, Ty |
