Default Best hop-ups for my TRF501X?

Hi,

What are the best otional parts for my TRF501X?
I think the 1-way (front and/or rear) diff, The stabilizer bars and the wide belts...

What do you think?

Also I think about a brushless and ESC to use it in competition... I like the Vector X12, but how many turns? and what ESC?

Thanks

front one-way!, always run a diff in rear, if you had a one-way front and rear you would have no brakes and a oneway in the rear of any car is just awful and not advised! , 6.5t motor x12 and lrp sphere comp07 or sphere tc edition

Ok, thank you man!

So front one-way it's a good option. I think the stabilizer bars would be nice... but the tracks are more and more flat...

And going for more than 6.5T it's a nonsense?

I am going to change to lipo BTW... any good batteries? I have seen the Yeah Racing 5000mAh...

And another question, I have the prolux ni-po charger, I need to buy a balancer for the lipos?

I'm running a 501x worlds with the 6.5 x12 and a sphere TC with no problems. As for the diffs, I've run both the front and the centre one way and I find the centre one way is the best. Its also the cheapest at £16+pp from Hongkong.

My worlds came with F+R roll bars so Ive kept them on but they don't seem to do much. If you want a set then http://davesrcmodels.co.uk/ has them listed at £8.95 +pp which is cheap.

I run the none BRCA trackpower 3200 lipos at the mo which require only slight mods to make them fit. With lipos I dont add any weights (the car is still over the min weight) but the shocks need altering. I use tamiya springs, for indoor I use Medium at the front with 35wt oil and soft at the back with 25wt oil and set the rest of the car to Jimmys setup. I use a Db01/501x hybrid for outside but I'm still messing with the settings.

Hope this helps.

Thought I'd make a quick list of worthy hopups with part No's. I'm guessing yours is the none worlds edition so wont have the big pulley conversion so that would be a good start.

Tamiya Centre One Way 18T 54051
Tamiya Center Pulley (18T) 53989
Tamiya Ball Diff Pulley (37T) x2 53988
Tamiya Reinforced Drive Belt x2 54140

Tamiya Low Friction Rod Guide Set 53979
Tamiya Stabilizer Set 53963
Tamiya 96T Spur Gear 51284
Hot Bodies Ceramic Diff Balls 3mm x2 67722

Most of the other upgrades for the 501x are for the 'bling' factor.
