Default 210 and gravel (old fashion tracks)

Had my first outdoor race with the 210 last day. It ended up with a big disapointment.
It was on a dirt track, loose gravel. On all 3 quali rounds, and 2 out of 3 final rounds i got small stones stucked in the rear rims.
I know it happens all rider sometimes, but not this often. I have had other brands, and never had this problem before.
I noticed the clearance from hub to rim is almost none, all small grit stones got stucked there.

Anyone else noticed this? And have Durango really tested the 210 on gravel?? Or has the turf, blue groove and indoor made it forgot about us european racers who still uses the original buggy tracks?

I was there and a great day.. although I had a lot of probs with mine swapping ends, I had to be VERY careful on the throttle

410 went really well couldn't be happier with that till the screw in the spur out drive came out in the final final.

What about a mudguard like what the 1/8th scale have?

Or I saw a cat with a little flap of lexan bent and stuck on the side of the shell to deflect stuff. This was a fair bit forward but you could really place it anywhere
