I think you need to have a think about this as it all depends on what you race on (Surface)?
If its all high grit astro/carpet then the Schumacher is the car but if its a mix all season then the YZ2 or XB2 is the car as they are very similar.
To decide between the 2 the XB2 gearbox is a major factor as its only 4 screws to take the diff out rather than taking the whole gearbox off the car then split the 2 halfs then build it all back up again.
I would choose Xray every day as the quality is far better then the rest and right now they seem to the movers in the market to reach to podium in ALL classes they race.

Just bought the xb2. Run on medium/ low grip carpet most of the time, but have run on bare sports hall floor (with gear diff) Let a lad who runs a yz2 have a go (A finalist each week at my club) he said its lovely to drive, more stable at the rear and turns in a bit better on the carpet. Can't vouch for astro yet or high grip carpet where I imagine the differences are less. But on that, u can change all the plastics to the harder compound to improve the drive.

The Schumacher will be good on the Carpet and Astro but crap on the sandy Astro.
What do you friends drive as this also matters when it comes to spares.

Smile YZ2 or XB2

To throw in my 2 cents, which ever car you choose, try and make sure it is supported at your race track or venue by your local model shop. Would be a pain having to carry loads of bits, ie more cost to you, or if you don't, the local shop doesn't support or carry the spares.

But to be honest either car will be great, but the access to the diff on the xray xb2, plus what is included in the carpet edition kit is great. Great bang for your buck.

Just my opinion
