Default Cougar SV Help needed !!!

I have raced my cougar sv c/f version for around 6 meetings now and I keep breaking the front hub carriers 5 in total. I am not hitting anything hard and once all it took was a nudge from a 4wd to snap it. I swapped to the alloy hop up and managed to snap this as well. Has anybody had the same problem and what did you do to cure it ?

Well I'm impressed you managed to snap the alloy ones but I went through a phase of snapping the plastic ones. For me it was a combination of two factors and fixing these helped.

1. I had done the front end mod to remove the strange bent ball cups. I think the ball stud being further from the hub increased the leverage and therefore made the hub snap. The new better ball cups that come on the svr meant I could remove this mod which helped.
2. I had a build of thread lock in the wishbone (from having to change the hub so often) Which meant that the hingepin wasn't completely tightening. This meant that the hinge pin was able to move around and I think this stressed the hub rather.

Hope this Might help.

Try sending a pm to dmcracing as he had this problem. He may have a solution for you.
