Default 4wd Short Course Electrics

Ok so I am thinking of buying a Durango DESC410V2 short course truck
The thing that I am wanting is people's views on whats a good speedo and motor setup for these.

I am currantly weighing up the following

Tekin Rx8 with tekin pro 4 4000kv motor
Tekin RX8 with a tekin 550 4.5t motor
Orion R10pro with Orion 550 4.5t motor

If anyone has any of these please can you give feedback

Thanks

I have run the Durango with both the 550 motor and the Pro4, currently settled with Pro4 motor. Both were fantastic to drive and plenty of power and torque. The RX8 will power them round all day without issues. If you go the 550 route then go with the 5.5, the 4.5 will just be too much.

Either of the Tekin setup will be spot on so go with what is the best deal

I also use a Hobbywing 120a speedo (the 1 cell version) with a Tenshock 4000kv 4 pole.

I don't have anyone to race with so I race the 2wd's round our track for whole packs and its coping fine.

Pro 4 for me too. Could do with a slightly more powerful esc though (Running a SP GT2.0 lpf). Works ok. Doesn't get hot. Just feel like the motor could do with more power.

You'll be good to go there. You'll need 5mm pinions though.
RW on eBay are the best price I've found.
