Default Tamiya Hotshot (original (1985))

Hello everyone,
I currently have an original Tamiya Hotshot i got off eBay that hadn't been raced and barely used etc. It came with a few spares but no electronics.

Those of you who will have heard of this car will know that it is 4WD and also that it is renown for bump steer. I have sort of cured that but i still have quite a few problems with suspension at the front; sometimes the wheels will be pushed up a bit but the suspension will not be compressed at all! I think that there is a 'bit of slack' in the suspension arms anyway and it wouldn't be a problem if i was just driving it around the garden or up and down the street but i have decided to race it...

Does anyone have any tips for adjusting things to make it easier to handle?

Oliver

yeah i will, probs on the 27th, it's quicker than i thought when i took it out earlier, still runs brushed and NiMH though. I'll be bringing my B4 too anyway so if i do badly with the hotshot it won't be all over for my competitiveness, i just wish there was a longer straight and not that ramp before the current straight...
Btw did anyone see the crash that smashed the bulkhead on the b4?

I have decided that the hotshot will never be capable of winning races and putting more power in it will probably ruin the running gear. So i have decided to sell it. Let me know if you're interested.
