Me and Dan will be down at 7:45. We need help setting the track up, the grass needs cutting, etc. from Batley club members and anyone else who wishes to help.

Thanks

ERM! Probably a bit of a thick question but as you know I am from "over the border" !!

What format does the racing take, are we scoring points, are there any handicaps for F1, F2 drivers?

Just so I know what I am letting myself in for!

I'd have thought Pete would be there.

Damo, there are 5 start lines set out around the track, F1's just after the loop, F5's just before the loop. All the other F's at equal distances between those two. This gives F5's a lap on the F1's at the start.

The winner of a race gets 10 points for their team, the second 9, third 8 etc.

NO points for a non start.

Think thats it.

Right, quite simply the weather is currently shite.
Who's decision would it be to cancel? I don't want another Batley regional farce.

Not sure about a van, but there is a Maccys about 1/2 miles away in heckmondwike, just down the road basically. There are a couple of chippys close by also.
If the swimming baths are open they serve food in there and theres a lil supermarket 1/4 mile up the road also.

*whispers* ME TOO! I just don't like being in the rain myself.

At least I don't have to keep my hair covered up at all times this week!

Weather over here has got a lot better and as it is so mild the roads are already dry.

Looking at an hour by hour forecast any rain should be gone by 10am leaving a cloudy/sunny day.

Do I feel a Michael Fish moment coming along!

Great days racing. Shame about the weather early on but it got better. Shame the last round had to be dropped because of time too, but many thanks to derek for helping out
I managed a 2nd, 3rd, 2nd and 1st in my runs, quite happy with that.

Enjoyed my first interclub meeting - thanks to all those who made it possible.

Had a good laugh with the other Bury lads 'n' lasses, well done on your quality scores Jimmy, you contributed greatly to our brill 2nd place overall.

Personally, I think it was a good decision to drop the 5th round - it was threatening to be a loooong day otherwise.

Still, really happy with 2nd place!
