Most of the cars are just the usual buggies (Sharks mostly) but with a Mini shell bolted on, and handle really really well.

We run a 6 round WRC championship through the summer, each round is named after one of the rounds of the official World Rally Championship, this one was Sardinia, and we try to copy some features of that round to make it a bit more relevant. "Round 1 - Monte Carlo" had had large table top type features with white carpet over it

We also specify a tyre for that round, most rounds use std foam tyres that grip really well on the carpet and slide quite a bit on the polished floor to give the cars a bit more of as rally feel.

For Rounds 4 and 5 (Sweden and Finland) we will be running std foam tyres but with 2.3" mountain bike inner tubes cut and stretched over the tyres, this makes them pretty much into drift tyres, perfect for snowy stages

So far the series has been a lot of fun with more and more peeps joining in the fun ....

Oh yeah, and the reason the cars are wheelying down the straight is because we have the worlds most bumpiest carpet

You can follow the championship progress here with more results videos and pics .... - http://www.uk-microrc.co.uk/forum/in...?showforum=222

si, do the mini shells bottom out on the shells, as i have found that the SC truck shell is bottoming out.

and i have loads of old 2.3" tubes knocking about so i may have to try them,at next meeting
