kf v kr help grip roll

hi anyone how much difference between the kf and kr is, got a kr cheap for my son that are trying to use on a grass track but having major grip roll, I know the kr is for dirt/ low traction but what are the differences and how can dial out some grip, low staggers front spikes with outers cut off , both yellows .
