Default Mini 8ight extremly loud

Hi,

A friend of mine bought a Mini 8ight and it significantly louder than the other one we use on the track.

The noise comes from the rear end. We already checked the dogbones, bearings, diff, changed the motor etc.

Do you maybe have any advice what we could do?

Thanks

Hi
check the pinion and spur, the spur can be not quite round, so hard to mesh properly
make sure there's a little play or rock between the two at all places of the spur
also the kit pinion is quite soft so when the teeth get bent or worn slightly they can make a lot of noise
RW Racing make a pinion and spur for the m8,when paired together, there super quiet
