This looks interesting James...you should dedicate a separate thread for this!

Shock towers will be simple to redesign as I just lower them to account for the smaller shocks and then fit my Ferrari 250 GTO shell on and game on

Its a mix. Tom from Racer magazine named it a ZXR-S. slipper is still a proto but if you dont mind a permanent 4wd drivetrain then Alcyon will sell the layshaft needed. RW sell my 100t B4 type spur gear in white or black and the Associated VTS slipper and B4 back slipper plate are sold everywhere.

However my gear box is not so easy to make as certain items are very rare so am hopefully within two weeks will come up with a new design for the rear gearbox in plastic and have our friendly 3D maker sell it at a vastly cheaper cost than my cf version. The design is tensioning the rear belt to a specific tension to stop the belt snapping, so has to be set at the exact tension my carbon fibre gearbox has been set to so patience will be needed but will be worth it.

Still if i can locate one item and you can discuss with Alcyon on getting a layshaft (my latest design which he hasnt made yet) plus be prepared to dremel a rear shock tower mount in two ares then i can help you out but its not cheap.

Also the carbon fibre tub chassis will be available again soon so that may tempt you as well

No need, its hearts a zxr thru and thru However i may do it, in step by step build. I need to talk to my sponsor to get my Ferrari shell made and game on.

Tubs close to being molded so should have the cf tub hopefully start of August. Then with the gearbox will look stunning. Cf front and rear gearbox sides and chassis i know a lot of people wont want me to race it, but you know me.......

Kamtec (links on bottom here) sell a tomcat shell. Picture is of the very first one made and thats the one im still using (green shell with red dragon on) Dan can confirm how good it looks for a five year old shell that gets usrd regularly. With the tub the shell with last a long time.

I treated the ZX-R to a little something.

Does anyone have any of the 1200mah Sanyo Red SCR cells or even the regular yellow cells?

Dan,

As per your email pictures are posted. Have a look at page 157 and you should hopefully work out from that how to do it.

The ones I mentioned were individual cells too. I didn't know they went to 1700SCRs the last cells I saw were either 1200SCR or 1700SCE, never saw 1400SCR either. I have alot of lost ground to cover!

1400scr's were megga punchy but found you could not crash once if using a 10 double otherwise dump mod and no A final.

1700 sce cells were less punchy but more run time. The scrc's were almost as punchy as the 1400s but you could treat them badly and still get good runs. These were black cells.

Since the new buggies of Kyosho have aluminum chassis, wonder how would an aluminum chassis be beneficial to ZX series.

Guys need a favour quite quickly.

I need a picture of the tub chassis with a standard size servo fitted, not a smaller one like S9551 futaba, need a big servo like 9401 or standard futaba servo plus all items with exception of the top deck or reciever but still need included all mounts and steering fitted as well. Need it as ive been asked to supply so they can make sure the mold is aligned correctly so they can make my test chassis.

Thanks
