Looks superb! Well done to all involved for making it happen.

I knew there was a reason why I have kept my TRF201 in rear motor!

Our clay is on top of the existing very sandy ground, we have tested every month through the winter so if we can do that the summer will be no problem, some parts of the clay are nearly 5 feet above the existing ground level hence any water runs off and drains away - plus we have have our massive track cover like Vaasa had, showers are no problem at all, its cloudbursts or sudden very heavy (proper rain!) showers that would be the problem but they cause issues on every surface.. Besides if there is some sort of weather catastrophe all we need do is walk 40 feet to the astro track hah!

Great stuff, sounds like you have realy planned ahead,But you should know a bit about soil types and compaction etc, track cover Niccccce.

The control tyre is a great idea,We run controls on our dirt track.realy saves the track surface (less work for me), and cuts the cost for racers.

great work...I'm jelous

When we were discussing this years oOple race I was concerned about tyres - I didn't want to really specify a tyre that wasn't going to be easy for everyone to get, but also not having a spec tyre meant that everyone would be running whatever they could find and possibly make the racing unfair.

I think this has taken the decision away from me which is probably a good thing

just one question,
Why would the track wear faster if more than one kind of tire is used?

cheers

Did someone say that? It'll wear faster if someone turns up with some Schumacher blue full spikes and tears it up, that's for sure.

who cares, as long as everyone is on the same it will be fine, I doubt they will choose a tyre that will not work on the track! as if that happened everyone would have a horrible time with an undrivable car,and never want to use the track again.
