Default Build the xx4 first?

About to start building my x5, got an unbuilt xx4 to convert, for those who've done it is it easier to fully build it then follow the x5 manual, or to work out which xx4 bits to put together as I go along?

Surely the latter, building xx-4 sub-assemblies as you go.

Suggest you start at the center section of the X - 5 instructions, modification of parts, then proceed from there. When it's time to move, for example, the front suspension & steering over, use your Losi manual to build, then assemble to the X - 5.

If you build the xx-4 first, you'll have to turn right around and disassemble it. Many wasted minutes...

Ok cool, just wanted to check there wasn't too much risk of me getting totally confused over which steps of the losi instructions to follow doing it that way!
