Has the tardis been designed to flex a lot on the rearend
Mine seems to flex quite a bit |

The flex will aid traction and i will stand corrected if i'm wrong but i'm sure it is integeral to this design.......
Once you have the sidepods screwed on and the whole car built with the motor link it is much reduced but still there I put mine on the scales last night with my normal setup and weights 104g under lipos, and 36g under motor as i normally run and i had : Front: 36.2% front weighting with only a difference of 0.5g side to side Rear: 63.8% rear weighting with a difference of 30g side to side, once i addressed this i then had 64.3% rear weighting I'm gonna run like this tonight as i'm sure rear traction will be improved, but if needs be with a bit of playing round either with a cream pivot block or more lead should be able to hit 65% and even more traction! I cant fault the quality of the kit pieces, the packaging and support from Graham @ AC Big thumbs up from me on my first AC purchase |

Yes it has, but the flex should be as the chassis twists, you should not have any front to rear flex. Also make sure there is no slop in the link between the battery strap and gearbox.

I only use a weight under the lipos, you will most probably find you need to add a little weight to the front end rather than more at the rear.

so what setup are you using with the tardis 22 any pointers

I would use the below setup as a starting setup for the tardis.
Front - 60 wt, 5 hole 1.5mm, Blue or Black spring Rear - 60 wt, 5 hole 1.5mm, Yellow spring or Pink 4.0 deg HRC 2 deg AS Front camber - long link, 1mm under both ball studs Rear camber - 3mm outer 2mm inner, C location out inner hole. SWB on rear hub 25 deg kickup with 5 deg castor blocks. 110 gram weight under lipos, no other extra weights on the car, no rear bolt on weight either.

1st run
1st run for my Tardis today on a bumpy astroturf track...
I actually ran with Griff55 setup with the lighter oils and different pistons as i dont have 60wt oil, and was very happy with forward drive and also traction coming out of the bends. It felt i was lacking a bit of steering so i added 10g on servo and changed to pink rear spings as advised by Dave belsten who was also using his Tardis 22 to good effect Overall happy with the first outing just need to get a setup that suits my driving Quote:

were is the best place to mount weight on the front i have the 25deg brass kickup plate on the car
maybe a long camber link on the front will give me more steering . |

More steering
Quote:
I have tried both setups suggested and also added 20g ontop of the servo to try and help the situation also rebuilt diffs and shock, and tried stagger ribs/ mini spikes but still lack decent steering I have the brass 25deg shim on order also to try Any ideas / setups from team drivers i can try? thanks in advance |

Sorry mate, not ran mine at all since tally national. i know Belsten has managed to get his spot on and he is a steering monster. Might be worth sending him a pm to see what he is running if he doesnt post on here. One thing i do know is that, HE LOVES HIS TARDIS!!

Tardis @ WRCA regional
Well i changed to the suggested setup of the tardis using the 60wt rather than the lighter 35 wt setup griff was using and it was awesome
Round the Talywain track today the car was Dialled and got me my best ever result with a Q4 in the A final and 5th finish position it also netted dave belsten Q1 in the A final and 1st finish position It is by far the best purchase i have made for the 22 since getting it and anybody debating it should get one ordered Well done team atomic carbon dave |
