I have to correct you on that one squire, Torch has been at its current site for 12 years now, and has existed for about 28 years.

On topic though, £10 is the going rate for 8th tracks, and people will pay to race, practice is another matter though although you get more tracktime.

High rent and high maintenance demands high numbers, but you have to have the high numbers or you may as well pack it in.

Reminds me of the dirtmasters at clanfield 2009
racers were turning up at gone 3pm and you still insisted they pay £10 to practice...WRONG WRONG WRONG!!

If you cannot afford £10.00 to use a track you need to be looking for a new hobby!

Track open this Sunday?

@ Jimmy Whitehall - I can afford £10 to use a track but as it's not a race day I don't feel the £10 is justified to in effect bash there. Race day fair enough, any other dates should be less because unless enough drivers turn up there won't be enough people to race. You've sort of missed my point too, the club was recently disbanded because of money issue, a lot of the old members won't be coming back so the numbers are going to be down, therefore to charge £10 probably isn't going to inspire new members to come and join. As I said it seems a lot when other clubs are charging considerably less.

@ Crazy L - Sorry I didn't realise TORCH had been there that long, someone I was chatting to recently told me it was only 5 or 6 years old so I took that as true, I stand corrected.

@ eyeayen In relations to TORCH its probably the resurfacing that they got confused about as they resurfaced it a couple of years ago.

And yes most people don't mind paying £10 for a RACE DAY, but not usually for just a practice or club meeting.

Thank you Stu, that's what I was trying to get at.
