New 1/10 4WD Buggies From Hobao And Hong Nor
Hobao and Hong Nor have shown pics of their soon to be released 1/10 4WD buggies at the Nurnberg Toy Fair 2011. Both buggies look pretty good with the Hobao design looking very much Predator inspired while the Hong Nor looks pretty much like the Hong Nor CRT.5 with Yokomo BMAX blue aluminium looking bits...Enjoy the pics.

I think the white plastic was just for prototype purposes, should imagine it would be made out of the traditional black plastic upon release..
The other one just looks like a scaled down electric version of a Nitro 1/8th |

It is pretty much a CRT.5/SCRT10 "factory converted" to a 1/10th 4wd buggy. Seen a few "DIY" versions of such a conversion...

I would imagine that the Hong Nor has geared front and rear diffs, but I don't think it has a center diff. Just guessing

The Hong Nor will be very strong if its anything like the SCRT10 it shares suspension parts with.
Just hope its lighter than its bigger brothers. A 1/10th with 3 geared diffs would be good... the SCRT10 persuaded me that a centre diff works much better than a slipper, only if all 4 wheels are on the ground though |
